What did i say about the insect repellant?
I'm sorry but you have made me laugh soooo much.
I guess some people just are'nt outdoorsy people, ( but you run marathons )?
Ermmmm, please could i have first refusal for the tent?

Oh sweetie! I'd never go camping again ... of course you're not a ... whatever you said ... spoiled continental wimp! I loved the freedom camping gave me in my 20s, but even when I went wandering about in Turkey during the First Gulf War, I used hotels! Sometimes quite nice ones
I'm glad you're back.

Oh dear FW, your camping post made me giggle. No doubt you can have a laugh back at me when i am camping with my guide group this weekend...who wouldn't say no to a future tent for camping purposes if you do want to get rid of itBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Wonderful post FW - the idea of you having to have therapy to get over camping is priceless :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Excellent imagery from that post FW. I have a wonderful vision of you in ALL of your clothes with hat and dressing gown, hugging a stiff drink and shivering our timbers. Sorry to laugh but you have to admit you do have a way with words. There is nothing wrong with not enjoying camping. At least you gave it a go. I first camped when I was 32 (I was on an island in the middle of uganda with no electricity or running water. Think I'm a celebrity). My friends thought that it was hilarious as I had only been known to frequent 4 star hotels before that. Despite dreading it I loved every minute. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Don't forget the midges, ( at least they were'nt mosquito's ). :rotfl::rotfl:
Oh dear. I'm still here. I've just been waylaid by my 85 year old neighbour who wanted me to partake of a large g & t, ( mostly g & not t ), outside. Its more pleasant outside than it is in. Just as well i'm not on an early, as drinking involves absolute sacking.
I still can't get over the image of fw sat in a field somewhere, wearing a dressing gown, and a woolly hat. I'm sure you'll get your own back, on me :rotfl::pDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Do not imagine anything elegant - it is a bulky, fleecy dressing gown. And thank goodness for that - otherwise you would have never laughed with me again. I would have been a melting icicle somewhere in the fields full of midges.
Did you get the job?

Remember that I spilled coffee on the settee and washed the covers? Well, they have shrunk and now are in the bin. And the settee is covered with a lovely cover.
I am having a good old run it seems.

Aaaah, the chippy, i never heard from them
I'm unemployable, with my warped sense of humour.
This conjures up even more images. You would have looked so cool if you were wearing say, a satin,, dressing gown, with a woolly hat. Did you take your slippers too?
I apologise in advance for sounding insulting. It makes me realise how robust i am, and how we are worlds apart, but it does'nt make me respect you, any the less. We are just so different, although there are some similar elements hidden in there.
With that, i AM going to bed now. Sleep well fw xxDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
