Welcome, Tricia, and thanks for your post. And thanks to all who have started posting more often – I feel that there is a group rather than me rambling and lecturing.

Well today has been an interesting day. I was just going to say that not much was accomplished but then had to stop myself; because I remembered my post from yesterday. Not much was done but loads of thinking was done today. As a result I have a plan for the Workshop paper I have to finish by the end of next week – this is the Workshop my colleague and I organised and invited all BIG people in the field; and they are all coming as well. But had a panicky moment just now – had forgotten to send a letter of support for a young PhD student to come for a visit. Had to be done – and I am very keen to supervise this person; extremely exciting research straight down my lane.

Today I also did some more of the exercises from Tim Ferriss’s book. The question I worked on was ‘what are you putting off from fear?’. And I know that the thing I am putting off from fear is the thing that will give me the biggest kick of all – to write a book people really want to read. What is the fear? Oh, you know, that if I do there won’t be any doubt that I can’t crack it; but if I don’t do it I can continue doing the Lady Catherine thing...’I never wrote a popular/self help book. But if I did it would have been a real bestseller.’ You get the drift. But when I got to the question ‘what is it costing you?’ I realised that not doing something I really want to do is costing me big time – financially, emotionally and possibly physically.

Another thing that I have been postponing because of fear is writing the first post for my blog. It is set up, I even found a lovely picture I took at the Alhambra to have as a header...And the first post is not written. Because I have made such a big thing out of it! Tomorrow it will get written and it will get posted – I know what I want to write about...so I might as well do it.

OH and I did come to a decision today which involves a deadline. It is about finance but I am not ready to talk about it yet – will tell you when I am ready and have done enough research.

Ok my top want in the be category to be is to be animal communicator. I have been sent couple of pictures of animals to practice on, I have access to a website where I can have more case studies to practice on, I have 9 books of the subject on my book shelf and I have basic course on a CDs that I could re listen to refresh the course I was on.

So why I am not doing it. Because I have other unfinished things to do. Am I working on those unfinished businesses? No! What am I doing - cross stitching. Is cross stitching helping me to sort out the unfinished businesses? No! Is it helping me to become what I want most. No! So why don't I just allocate time and get on with it? Because I would be so upset if I was completely rubbish at something that I really want to do. Or I don't believe I can do it and don't want to prove myself right. Oh dear...
