Vigilant.
I will not take business from this forum. Never have, never will.
Right, the inaccuracies and poor guidance you give.
Firstly the CCJ that isn't paid off. So what ? Whether it's paid off or not will make no difference to most lenders as the fact that one is registered is all they need to know. By paying it off now will cost the OP £6000 for not much benefit. Frankly, if the lender isn't chasing it, they are better off not paying it and letting it drop off the record in four years time. Saving the OP £6k.
Financial Association. Why you bring this up I have no idea. There is no financial association so therefore a total red herring.
This was hilarious. "Ye particularly when it is obvious the OP is planning to live there...and the mortgage adviser should know if a sgl mortgage is to be based on 2 people living there lending would be reduced....or was someone going to suggest it would only be 1 person living there....rolls eyes..."
Mortgage lenders are not bothered with other people living in the property as long as they are not DEPENDANT ! If they are dependant then loan size is reduced obviously as affordability is affected, in this case they are not dependent and the only thing the lender would want is a signed form.
Need I go on ?0 -

You know, part of the reason we as a country are in the sh1te right now was due to !!!!less idiots being lent 125% mortgages and throwing loans at people who had little or no chance of paying them back.
Are you seriously suggesting the OP doesn't pay back the loan? So if she and many others get mortgages off the back of being reckless with money in the past what stops them from defaulting on the mortgage and thus banks writing off more debts and we as a country will be f*cked again.
Do you have any conscience??? Morality? Jeezus Christ if you are typical of Mortgage Advisors we really are in the sh1te as a country......
I suppose your view is "At least I'd get my cut".... chilling attitude that...
Would just like to remind you the taxpayers of this country have baled out the banks with £Billions ,have we learnt nothing?
My question to you would be: Would you lend your own money to the OP??? Honest answer would be apreciated..0 -

"Are you seriously suggesting the OP doesn't pay back the loan?" Read my post again. I did not say loan I said CCJ. If the lender is not chasing it then I see little benefit in settling it is what I said. OPs decison. And don't blame me for that choice as it's called "the law" and I don't make it.
Would I lend my own money to the OP ? You ask. Of course I wouldn't as they have a CCJ for £6k (settled or not). Bit of a no-brainer that one !
The rest of your post is flim flam pad it out diversion which isn't worth replying to.0 -

Wow this is worrying coming from a mortgage adviser...........
If a CCJ takes more than 6 years to repay the creditor will re-register it with the credit reference agencies.

Maybe you mortgage advisors should see the banks money as your own, maybe there wouldnt have been so much f eckless lending in the recent past.....Nuff said apart from I like your term "Flim flam" well done you
What part was actually flim flam??? (meaning foolish or nonsense) 0 -

Yep, maybe, but in my experience unlikely.
Let me ask you a question as I would be interested in the answer. Let's say that you, Mr VIGILANT, had a CCJ for £6k and it was now 5 years and 364 days later.
Someone leaves you £6k on that day and you are faced with a choice, settle the CCJ or leave it in the knowledge that it will not show on your credit file the very next day ?
No moralistic holier than thou BS please.0 -

Answer the question I pose VIGILANT above and I may indulge you with further virtual sparring.0
