TV Licence Website Overcharging.

Ok so I want to renew my TV licence on-line.
My bill as stated on the licence is £142.50. When I go TV licensing's website they tell me I must pay £145.00.
I know its only a couple of quid, but I hate to think people are being ripped off on mass.
Why the difference? I received the letter before April the 1st. Has the licence fee gone up?

Can you not pay it in the Post Office, with cash or a card? Maybe then you could get away with paying the amount on the actual bill.
Or you could ring and set up a DD with them, which would mean you wouldn't have to pay the whole lot in one go.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

I tried phoning them up but they have gone home for the holidays. So I will get in touch with them next week.
It's not that I'm too tight to pay the extra £3 , its the the principle of ripping someone off because 9/10 they are too apathetic to care.
Congrats on the forthcoming wedding by the way. Married life is bliss:D0 -
