Board to discuss apps?

Please can one of the existing boards become a designated place for discussion about great free and on sale apps? I have just got an iPhone and feel completely overwhelmed by the 100,000 apps in iTunes.
I notice that one-off discussions about apps are springing up all over MSE - Freebies board, Grabbit, Mobile Phones, Techies ...

I don't feel any of these are 'right' - Freebies and Grabbit are too busy to be cluttered with apps chat, Techies and Mobile Phones are more about hardware, contract and connection issues. The Music Moneysaving board is fairly quiet and I notice most of the discussions are about downloading anyway, so perhaps this could be renamed to include apps?
Thanks for the iPhone article BTW, I went for the Tesco one year deal as a result. :T

There is nowhere near enough discussion to warrant a separate forum for it.
Why don't you just seach the forums for 'iphone apps' periodically? If it is because of the grabbit ones which list reduced or free apps, then there are apps that do that for you anyway0 -

I agree there isn't enough apps discussion for their own board, which is why I suggested renaming the Music board to include apps. Maybe there isn't more discussion because there isn't anywhere obvious to engage in such activities.
There may well be apps to help me find reduced prices, but I don't know about them, as I don't know which apps to download out of the 100,000!!I don't just want to know which apps are on sale, I'd like to know which free apps are worth the effort, which paid apps are worth the money, just which apps. I have run a search and I am not the only one feeling overwhelmed by the choice.

FWIW, I agree it would be helpful to have an apps thread!
I too am completely baffled by the choice out there.0 -
Most app discussions tend to take place on the mobile forums, although little help in finding them from Ipod touch users
A sub forum under techie stuff, might be an approach if discussion increases.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
theres an app for that apparentlyReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0
