Cheaper broadband access with BT

After spending a year with BT, and intending to switch to Tiscali I informed BT that I intended switching. Thye then fell over themselves offering me discounts to both my BT line and to my broadband package.
I never liked BT as a company, but after resolving my broadband issue (down to my phone wiring and my fault) very quickly and without charge, and having a customer services department that is easy to get hold of and calls you back when they say they will (yes I didn't believe it either, but it happened several times) I'm starting to grow on them.
That said, money is money, so I looked around (this was April last year) and decided Tiscali gave me what I wanted for the lowest price, I was persuided to stay with BT. And I certainly didn't regret it.
After bartering with BT I got option 3 unlimited broadband for just over £15.00 a month, and line rental for just under £10 a month.
That was last year, this year I got a slightly bigger discount, so I'm paying the same for broadband and about £8.50 for line rental.
The motto is don't believe the headline prices. I should be paying £24.00 for BB and £12 something for line rental, instead its about £24.00 all in. And I'm getting what I consider to be excellent customer services.

Don't count your chickens!!
Just when you think it's safe to stay with BT... something will happen and you'll spend hours on the line with some call centre in India...
All you have to do is read some of the threads in this forum!

I've been with BT broadband for yoinks - about 12 years perhaps? Nothing has gone wrong with it and I too have had a massive reduction in price for it. Got issues with the call centre staff (about phone line) but broadband has always been great.
