if the paving I want is sold in 10sqm packs, 4 of these will do the garden .. right??
It depends what paving it is.
If this is block paving or just plain square slabs then yes, four packs
If the paving is random slabs or rectacngular ones, or to be laid in a pattern other than a grid or 1/2 bond, or there are curves, then you may find that you need a few more more to allow for cuts - as the offcuts may not be useable for other cuts
As four packs gives you a a little over then, don't order more yet, but see how you go0 -

After reading that they will all be square and not laid in any fancy way

Yep, the area is 38.5m2. I had to reactivate a few unused brain cells, but I always liked geometry.
When we were building our house. My wife worked out the area of the roof so that we could order the roof tiles. When I double checked the calculation prior to ordering, I discovered that her figure would produce enough tiles to pave the whole garden. A good job that I rechecked.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Problem number 2 and again this involves Maths

Okay, so I have 38.5 m2 to cover .. and the flags are 600mm x 600mm each.
How many do I need, lol. I'm clueless when it comes to this .. and there is an offer on for buying pallets of 20 at a time.
Thanks0 -
107 flags if all the cuts work :P0

Thanks, massive help

Took you 3 minutes to work that out ... took me over an hour and lots of paper to not work it out, lol. Cheers
