Does anyone know how I work out m2 of my back garden. We are having it paved in the next couple of weeks and want to get the stuff this weekend as some of the offers are great.
Anyway, back garden is small but a weird shape.
.....2m
......_
.7m l. \ 7m
......l__\
......9m
(hope the above comes out as intended, lol)
How do I work out how much area to cover from above .. I have brain freeze trying.
Thanks
(NEW QUESTION ON POST 16, THANKS)

plasterer is spot on
rectangle 7 X 2 metres = 14
leaves right angle triangle base 7m, height 7m, area = 1/2 base X height =
3.5 X 7 = 24.5
therefore total area = 14 + 24.5 = 38.5 square metres0 -
Give a man a fish or a fishing rod?
Divide the area into two shapes ...... a rectangle measuring 2x7m
and a right-angled triangle with sides 7x7m .... so assume a square of area 7x7m and then half it to get the area of the triangle
Don't let davidhwdn loose with the credit card .... he will order enough gear for all the neighbours too!0 -
Thanks very much ... I worked it out to be much less and much more so knew I'd get an answer here
So, (daft question I'm guessing) .. if the paving I want is sold in 10sqm packs, 4 of these will do the garden .. right??0 -
