Over the past few months I've been here asking for advice re: stoves! The 4 of you have been great & informative :T& the finished product is now up & running. I decided to go for the Charnwood Country 8 woodburner & it looks brilliant even if I say so myself.

So I'd like to share with you what your advice has given me!!

Hello - hope you can help ! What would you recommend to clean the glass on a woodburning stove?

For light staining, I find something like Tesco's glass cleaner works fine. For heavy staining you need to buy a specialist stove glass cleaning product - most stove retalers sell them, but wear gloves when youlre using it as the stuff is mildly caustic.

Traditionalists use wood ashes dipped in vinegar.

    Hope that helps.
