Orange Phone and One.Tel

I don't know if this has been asked (my search facility doesn't seem to be too good) but I have an orange phone on PAYG, and I'd like to save my money on cheaper calls. I had a one.tel account which has been dormant since august.
1) I've lost the access number to ring One.tel to find the number to ring then dial (if that makes sense) to make cheap calls on my phone. Can anyone help me please?
2) Is one.tel the cheapest to use for my mobile? I've heard about 1899 and others but am unsure if i'll save any money.
Many thanks

You cannot use 18866.com with Orange on PAYG. They will charge you the standard rate for using 18866's 0800 or 02 access number. Only Orange Monthly Tariffs allow 0800 calls to be routed free of charge.0

I'm not too sure your will be able to make cheaper calls using one.tel, your only savings could be with international calls - in which case you are better off using 1899.com.
If I remember correctly One.tel charge Mobile Overide rates as their internationaltalk plan. So for xnet calls this is 19p a min, and considering you will be paying standard rate to phone one.tel (0207 number) you will probably only being saving a couple of pence (if that).
1899.com is the chepest override, but remember you will be paying the standard rate (dependent on your PAYG plan) to ring them as well.
If you don't want to change network providers or move to contract you are probably best off with buying one of Orange's talk bundles.

Hope that helps.0 -
With PAYG you may wish to consider Tesco Mobile. They charge 20ppm for for UK landline and UK mobile calls. But they allow you to specify 3 numbers for 10ppm. One of the free numbers could be the 0207 access numbers to route calls via 18866.com and/or 1899.com. Therefore all of your UK landline calls could be made for around 11ppm. On Saturday and Sunday you would be able to make mobile to mobile calls at 12ppm using this method.
Here is a link to Tesco Mobiles PAYG tariff:

The number you need to ring Onetel is 08009570400
(The current number to dial to get the cheap calls from your Orange phone: 08009576983)0 -
I had a similar problem when I decided to use Top Up Now (TUN) to cut my Orange PAYG mobile rates. Instead of paying 15p/min, I was paying 15p/min + 5p TUN Connection charge when calling via the TUN 020 number. Obviously, there are no cheap 0844 access numbers for mobiles
Does anybody know whether you can reclaim any unspent TUN credit (i.e. have it transferred to your Orange PAYG account) by unsubscribing?0
