Ah, but be careful of over-heating it as you will then change the texture of your water even more so than by de-frosting it incorrectly. Also, over-heating water tends to be money-wasting in 2 ways:
1) It uses gas/leccy
2) It disappears mysteriously (see change of texture mentioned above) thus rendering the purchase of water, whether on BOGOF or not, totally redundant.0 -
When you say you bought loads of water - what sort of quantity are you talking about?
You may find that it's something of a financial gain if you travel south on the M1 and sell it on to those poor blighted southerners who are living with a hosepipe ban
If, however, you are talking monster amounts, then may I suggest a trip to the North Pole, where your water can be frozen at no extra cost and stored fairly indefinitely for free too (very OS then) ..... (as long as you stay well clear of those greenhouse gasses)0 -
I'm talking loads! I've got at least a litre, maybe a litre and a half. Just don't know what to do and, frankly, it's starting to distress me. Please god help me.And if, you know, your history...0

Lots and lots of grill thawed ice
Take aforedmentioned teenager, douse in grill thawed ice, leave to marinade in the freezer until around the end of August.

Oh that's excellent :T
Can you change the quantity of the ingredients? I would like to add another teenager. And maybe a husband too
What do I with them in August?
And can you lend me some cash to buy another freezer? I haven't got room for 3 in mine.Bulletproof0 -
you are going to have to convert it into something you can dispose of much more easily then. May I suggest selling it on to your local brewery? You will then find that, for a small fee, you can purchase it back. The colour and taste will be markedly different, although many agree, it's not an unpleasant taste.
I fear that, with that much water to freeze, the national grid would go into meltdown, which of course, would result in the same for your frozen water0 -

Dear troo,
Much as I would love to lend you the cash to buy another freezer....I can't, because I have teenagers and they're eating me out of house and home.
However, I am hoping to send mine back to school at the end of August, exam results permitting, so I should have room for a couple more in my freezer then.....let me know how much space you need.Is Mr troo very big?

I think what Tickelmouse means here is that ice/water when overheated turns into steam, to avoid this use a container that has a lid that you could put some ice into. This will then turn your steam into condensation, which you can collect to re-use. This is now known as distilled water, you now have so many more exciting ways of using your water, irons, car batteries. And judging by the price of distilled water means you have probably doubled the value of the water, bit like Jesus when he turned water into wine. Think you are on a winner here, can you buy more.0 -
