real pain as 2 years of bookmarks there
Use Xmarks add-on, it saves your bookmarks on it's server, just log in and download your profile, when you re-install.
It also has the bonus of saving all your alterations, so you can log in and go back to the date you accidently deleted that important bookmark.
    Move along, nothing to see.

I lost my bookmarks after updating to v3.6.2 when my PC crashed (for some unrelated reason). I managed to get them back by following the steps at the link below under the heading "Restoring bookmark backups" (towards the end of the page):

FF is a !!!!!! browser that's why. It's got more issues than a magazine stand.

Hmm, I agree with you !!!!!! is a spelling mistake, I have never used magazine stands since Firefox came out, and any night at the Opera is pants, going on Safari is over rated, Chrome eventually gets chipped, IE why do people talk !!!!!! without saying exactly why in their opinion, anyone should take their advice as gospel. It (their blasting off) is not worth the paper it is written on, ooops sorry it's not written on paper, is it it's a forum, so you are safe to pass on the !!!!!! without the advantage of the paper to wipe it off with.

Now I on the other hand have used FF for years and have had only had 1 serious problem with it, it does not stop me rising to the bait when people like you Snooze, do not proffer worthwhile argument with their worthless throw away comments in the genre of a "funny pun".

I have updated to 3.6.2 and then 3.6.3 this week on 3 machines with no problems.

However it didn't update from the link in the browser on one of them and I had to go to the site and get it direct.
  • I'm only having a problem when I have multiple tabs open and one of them is a wordpress blog, the admin panel. And that's intermittent - sometimes it does, sometimes doesn't. It did on the previous version of FF and still does now I've upgraded. Hey ho.
