3.6.3 is available, there has been a problem with the installer. Go to Firefox home page download and install

The updater doesn't seem to work either

    Hi
Your bookmarks are probably still available.
On my Windows system I look in these folders:-
    Application Data > Mozilla > Firefox > Profiles > e0hgdgdo.default

    There's a file named bookmarks.html.

Bookmarks are now held in places.sqlite I think since a few major version ago?

Crisp: Back up your profile folder before attempting any upgrade. That way you have the best chance of keeping your bookmarks/settings.

3.6.3 seems to be having the same effect of crashing on opening.

You can quickly rescue your bookmarks with Mozbackup!

You can then create a new profile , again with Mozbackup .. and import your bookmarks into it!

    That might cure the problem.

Try it in safe mode to see whether any extensions etc are causing the crash.

There's nothing in that bookmarks.html file!
I suppose it's a legacy and they are now held in the places.sqlite file, as you said.:o
