Trend Micro Housecall is an online virus scanner. You don't install it permanently on your PC, but it's useful as a kind of second opinion if you're worried that your PC has been compromised and you've already run a scan with your own anti-virus.
If you ensure that Spybot and SpywareBlaster are installed and up-to-date, that should help reduce your chances of other malware being installed on your PC.
Although version 3.6.0 had a significant vulnerability, Firefox is generally regarded as being less susceptible to malware than Internet Explorer - mainly because Firefox doesn't use ActiveX. In SpywareBlaster, there are far more updates to protect you from IE or generic (not browser-specific) issues than for Firefox.
