peas and courgette seeds not growing
Comments

I've found that cheap seeds (lidl) have worse germination rates than expensive (t&m, johnsons). I also soak seeds overnight in warm water (to help get them started). Sow them in damp compost, then leave 7-10 days.0

Thanks everyones, I am now not over watering,
I started a few more peas 2 days ago, watered when first potted then nothing and you can see them already starting to get ready to shoot :-)
i have also found that putting newspaper under all the pots means that if i do put a bit too much water in it draws it out so they don't sit in soggy soil,0 -
My courgette haven't come up either, sowed them about 2 and a bit weeks ago

I sow peas and beans in milk cartons in cut half , Fill with compost put about 8 seeds in. You will end up with a deep root system when started under cover , Early Peas take 11 Weeks from seed to picking time.
As for cucumbers , marrows and squashes they be started at 1st. week in may to be transplanted in June - mine are still in the packets ! What variety are you growing - Lewis Hamilton or Jensen Button !!!!0 -

Last year the weather was warmer and I didn't sow my courgettes until the end of April.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
