Options
Hi

Does anyone know if there are any short term unlimited access broadband dongles available for imediate use. Just for a month or maybe two if required.

Thank you.

What do you mean by unlimited access?

There are a number of pay as you go dongles available and you can just top them up with however much you need. That might be quite an expensive option though - what are planning on using it for?

More on the dongle prices/price per top up here: http://www.chooseisp.co.uk/compare/mobile-broadband/pay-as-you-go.asp
  • Hi Rufus, Just for a stop gap maybe while I am waiting for line broadband to be connected. What I am looking for is a weekly / Monthy with no limitations on download / upload. Not sure if such a thing exists.

All that matters at this stage is what you can actually get from a signal (if any).

Go into any local phone shops and see what they have to say and/or check on the suppliers' websites for signal test quality. A poor signal will limit you so there'd be no point paying for heavy usage if it's impossible to get/use it.

Most of those shops give pretty good info because you usually have 14 days to return contract SIMs and they don't want people returning scratched dongles.

I use a Vodafone non-expiring SIM and also a O2 SIM for different things. O2's dongles have always been unlocked for me so maybe you might want to start with that. No harm going into an O2 shop and asking there.

They were doing them PAYG/monthly for £10 online (next day free delivery) but I think that's gone http://shop.o2.co.uk/promo/o2mobilebroadband/tab/1_month

Non-expiring https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001P6KNQE/ Vodafone dongles are usually locked.

If you can get a great signal then non-business users usually end up with the 3 network as they can do good deals https://www.three.co.uk

Whatever you pay for the dongle, you will only get 1GB for £10 typically.
