I don't really get the question. though I topped up £15 last week and I got £1.50 in the phone fund0

The orange phone fund was introduced originally when the VAT was reduced to 15%, instead of giving us extra credit Orange kept the money and put it towards a "phone fund" for each account. Now VAT is back to normal again, is the phone fund money "free" money we are given with each top-up?0

I don't get the relevance of the vat
with o2 you top up £10 and get £1 extra credit
with orange you top up and get £1 extra phone fund
and tesco and vodafone to the phone fund too, the vat doesnt change anything. You still get the full £10 credit0
