back from the park, what a lovely day it is today in all ways
And miraculously, some chocolate truffle mix has re-appeared in a bowl, maybe overnight it will turn into the missing truffles
Glad you are sorted spud, that was super quick service.
Just realised that the meat I am doing for dinner is very lean and I have no tinfoil. Pfft. I have a lidded casserole dish I could put it in if I halved it (possibly), I can't be faffed to go to the shop."Stay Wonky":D

One of the flats downstairs has an unpaid gas bill for about £600. It's addressed to The Occupier, Flats 1-7, so obviously the gas company doesn't know which flat it is. Someone's opened it and left it on the side, obviously wondering if it was for them, then realising it wasn't, which is how I know about it because I looked at it. Bit stupid really, other people opening it, since this flat has been getting letters about their gas bill, addressed the same way, since about Nov. Alice upstairs phoned the gas company and they gave her the meter code so we know which flat owes the money. They're students as well and maybe I'm just thinking the best of people here but I presume that if they had the money, they'd pay it, which means they don't.
I know what that feels like, or I wouldn't be here. And part of me really wants to help them since they're obviously struggling. Also, I don't want the aggro of debt collectors showing up on the doorstep. Do you think CCCS or one of the other DMP services could help them? It only seems to be the one debt and they're more designed for people who owe to lots of different companies, it seems. Then again, if the rest of their post is addressed properly, they could have defaulted on all their bills and I wouldn't have a clue. Anyway, to bring this marathon post to an end, should I talk to them and mention where they can get help, or maybe just print off the sticky from the forums on where to get help and stick it in an envelope with their post, along with the bill and maybe an anonymous note? Or should I just leave it be? Me and Alice have handed them the last bill so we know they know we know. I'm just not sure what to do.

Sweetie, a wise word from a puddling old biddie, ignore it. Trust me, I bet they know about it and most students aren't that hard up. It didn't get to £600 because they were being careful:eek:
You are best not getting involved and letting them sort their own mess out.
All the best.

That's probably the best plan. I've let them know there's another bill and I'll just wait and see what they do. Tbh, I'll probably be gone before any more have a chance to arrive.
