I have my brows threaded as i find the skin under my eyebrows is too delicate for waxing. I find it painful (maybe a good excuse for a coffee? ;)) but it gives a great look.

I had sugaring done on legs and I liked it, but it is hard to find. My beauty therapist tells me it is a middle eastern, rather than asian thing, so perhaps a more middle eastern owned salon or beautician would be one to try for it?

Also - Muslims are supposed to remove their intimate hair (men shave apparently) so I recommend Asian beauticians - they will have lots of experience. Mine has no shame about bikini waxing.

You know your Mum told you never to catch the eye of the mad, rambling man walking in the road??

    That'll be my OH.

I dropped him in solid traffic in town to watch the football at the pub and he decided to try to walk along the side of my car waving his arms and muttering stuff at me because I didn't want to change lane to save a minute or so........I just looked straight ahead and thought - I am happy in this lane, I am calm and not fussed. I do not mind sitting in traffic for a minute or so, I will not catch your eye whilst half the town's traffic watches you..........:rotfl:

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

I hate depilatory creams - they really smell, give me a rash and the hair seems to be grow really quickly. oh to be a little, almost hair free blonde...
Sugaring? threading? anyone tried those? are they more for small areas? eg eyebrows...

I get my eyebrows threaded. It is fab for getting the really small fine hairs and as my brows are really dark I end up with a 'shadow' if I don't get them all. I find it much better than waxing cos it doesn't pull the skin, when I got waxed my eyes were dead puffy but not with threading. I get a free treatment for every 6 visits too:D

Not a good weekend mood wise so far, feeling utterly bleugh:( feeling of limbo is NOT helping either. Had a proper crying fit this morning. Hubbles kicked me out for a run but not feeling as good for it as I usually do:(:(:( I realised today that I don't really like myself at the moment:o

Did you find out why OH asked about the cider the other night BB or did I miss it?

I could do with some choccy, I've got glands the size of tennis balls in my neck and I feel like pooh!

Hugs to Luc....anything specific you're not liking at the moment that we can help you with?
