These deals are about with a lot of companies, you have to pay the line rental every month then claim the cashback normally 4 times during the year and the companies sometimes count on people forgetting or sending in invoices late so they dont have to pay. maybe someone can vouch for this company as its one i havent came across. You could try carphone warehouse or e2save or even onestopphoneshop see what kind of deals they have with this phone. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

Looks like a good deal, but does depend on you remembering to send in your claims at the right time (I set reminders on my phone!).
Haven't used this company before, so am afraid I can't comment on their reliability.
Going slightly off topic - does anyone know if this phone (Sony Ericsson K608i on 3) can be unlocked? I don't like my current phone so this could be a way to get a new phone!Gone ... or have I?0 -
do they clearly send you a date to return it byAn Infinity of forests lies dormant within the dreams of one acorn.

They don't tend to no, they just say e.g. claim to be made in months 4, 8 and 12. However if you ask them for the date claim windows (they have to be sent within 30 days of the relevant date), then they should tell you. If you get the name of the person that tells you then you should be ok if there is a problem later on.
Otherwise, you can work it out by getting your activation date (this will be on the paperwork), then just adding on the relevant time period (four, eight twelve months etc). Then maybe just call them and confirm that your dates are correct.
Also, when you send in your claim you should send it recorded delivery ... they do seem to go missing quite a lot!Gone ... or have I?0 -
I have had a phone or two from http://www.mobileconnectionsonline.com/ipage/3-mobile.aspnurse_sue wrote:http://www.shop4mobiledeals.co.uk/ipage1/3-mobiledetails.asp?user=shop4mobiledeals.co.uk&phonename=Sony%20Ericsson%20K608i

they have the same deal with the Sony phone and you get your cashback every month.0 -
This deal is absolutely identical (and the ad's look surprisingly alike as well ... maybe the same parent company?!). The link posted by the OP is also for cashback each month.
I think this would probably be easier than claiming it every four months, would just become routine that when you receive the bill you send it straight back?
Am seriously considering getting it myself, just for the phone!Gone ... or have I?0 -
yes those phones seem to be 12 mths of a 18 mth contract this is 12mths of a 12mth contract been to shop they said they put money in your account you send statement to 3 ????????????? just cant see what they get out of it except hope you dont send it . they also offered double mins for 3 mths so 800 minuets im scared gota get me one way or another

Yep, that's how it works. A lot of 'us' have been using free mobile phones for a few years now. I've been with e2save for the past 2 years, and am just about to look for a third year (I would only consider e2save and carphone warehouse, as some of the other companies that operate in this area may not still be around when it comes to claiming cash back).
It's quite typical to find a free phone (Nokia, Sony, etc), 200-500 minutes and 100-300 texts a month for £30-£35 a month, most of which you can claim back, as long as you remember to send in the forms at the right time (which a lot of people don't remember)
I paid £0.00 per month for my first year, £2.68 per month last year, and am looking for another contract next year around £3 per month. Once you've sold your old phone on Ebay it's a profitable venture, as long as you stick to the rules and keep an eye on the bills as they come through the door.
