I've been saying for ages that I reckon there'd be a market for trendy disability aids as opposed to things that look like they belong in a hospital/old folks home.
Shame I don't have enough get up and go to do anything about it. :rotfl:
Good luck to you debbiedeboo for getting on and doing it - how about putting grab sticks on your list of nice things to make? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Hey there
Funnily enough you are not the first person to mention grab sticks to me. My only concern would be is that they have moving parts on them which may cause some problems if you are sticking things to them. I try to make things as robust as possible and I'm not sure how it would work with a grab stick. On the other hand it will be an interesting experiment just to buy one and see what I can do with it
I'm off to a wedding for the weekend which will probs be a good thing. I'm working on a purple Glamstick with purple glitter and rhinestone butterflies at the moment and I'm obsessing over it because I'm not entirely happy with it at the moment, my hubby can't see my problem but I'm a perfectionist! I need to come back to it with different eyes if you know what I mean! lol
I'm taking the pink swarovski crutch with me to the wedding though which will be its maiden outing
Do I need to cut a ribbon or something? Sorry, just woke up from a long nap and I'm waffling a bit because I don't think I've adjusted to reality yet! lol 0 -
How about painting the grab rail, Debbie? I agree putting gems on it wouldn't be any good as it would probably hurt the hand, but your painted sticks are lovely too."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0
