Sky HD problems

Just wondering if anyone can help. I've tried looking on Sky website as I'm sure they had pages of FAQ's but cant seem to find any help anymore?!

We had Sky HD installed in Dec 09 and up until now its always been fine. I have various programmes set up on series link, and I noticed last night that Eastenders hadnt recorded at all this week. I thought maybe I'd deleted it from the 'to be recorded list' so I went into the TV guide to set it back up but I wasn't prompted if I wanted to record it once or record the series, and when I go into the planner the series link button isnt there! I've tried it for other series too and the series link option seems to have vanished!

Also, the box in general just seems really slow the last few days, when I'm looking through the TV Guide it doesnt really respond when I press the remote, its not the battires, the remote is fine, just like the box itself is on a go slow, and its really annoying, it takes ages to look through just one page.

Any advice?

How much free space do you have left on the hard drive?

Have you left enough ventilation around the box? Although it sounds to me like the start of a PSU failure.What make of box is it?

No problems with ventilation, its on a tv stand, on a shelf of its own with nothing else around it. Not sure what make it is tho?? Cant see a brand name on it? The box is up in the loft. Got it in Dec last year, im thinking its the latest model before the new terabyte ones came out?

Look on the rear panel or underneath. Or post a pic, or search for a similar box on Google Images and post a link.

Have you tried a power reset (disconnect for about a minute and then plug back in)

Ours played up as well on Wednesday. No program info for anything but current program, EPG VERY slow and series link for recording missing.

Power reset last night cured the problems.

I am was having exactly the same problems; no program info, no series link and very slow EPG,. Just rebooted the box and it came right. Thanks!

This has happened before to us, it seems that sometimes boxes for some reason do not see the 2nd feed from the dish and need a reboot, this used to happen often but it has only happened once since we had the ESPN upgrade on the Amstrad box.
