As this is in force in many other ebay countries I am not at all suprised it has happened here. On the whole i welcome this change, there are too may 'private' sellers out there with hundreds and hundreds of live listings at any one time.

The discussions on the community boards get quite heated about these limits. So many 'private' sellers trying to justify why they need to list hundreds and hundreds of items and resent paying a fee to do so, and so many business sellers pleased that the playing field might be levelling out a bit.

I'm really hoping it will unclog the book categories a bit so my books get a look in amongst the tat.

I'm also thinking this is another golden opportunity for Ebid to do some serious marketing and advertising.

All that tat in the book categories are mine :D I'm not a pro seller on Amazon so eBay is the only place to get rid of them, although going to try a boot sale when they start again

Can't you tell I'm trying to be nice :rotfl:

I agree though this is likely to be yet another spectacularly missed opportunity.

But what about all the tat listings?!

I'm *really* going to miss having to filter through millions of relisted items to find what I want...

personally at the moment I am finding the new ruling (charging over 100) when it starts in july effectivly for me a bit harsh. I am listing old magazines (specialist) that i am done with - 1 of each issue, quite obviously not a business.
They do sell but mayb only 5 a week, so i relist. i am also clearing my house and selling bits and pieces here and there - again if they don't go I relist.

I'm going to have to only use ebay once a month or so, an annoyance because I've seen in the last month you can have something listed for 2 weeks and only sell it on the 3rd relist because that is the week that person happens to look for it.

disclaimer before anyone tries an arguement:
    It is not 'tat'.
I am well aware e-bay used to charge
I am well aware I can go elsewhere.
This is my opinion, we are all entitled to one.

    thank you.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

One persons Tat is anothers gold. If you are having to relist things nultiple times IMO opinion it points that ebay isn't the best place to sell them. It also confuses me that people expect something for nothing. Being able to use ebays worlwide presence and venue. There is nothing to stop you listing more tha 100 items you just have to pay for them

Thats my opinion and i'm allowed one too:D

    I agree with this.

I dont think many 'private' sellers will have hundreds of items to sell (at any one time) anyway
