My Husband and I have been on the phone already today for 5 hrs, yesterday another 5 and still no joy, just passed from Mumbai to the moon !
Our residential package option 3 suddenly stopped allowing us to send attachments over 25 mb, so we unwillingly changed to the commercial package. We have our new hub, however it still will not send anything over 25 mbs even though we were promised upto 50 mbs !!!!! No one within BT will help and we have had the phoned put down on us at least 7 times.....how frustrating:mad: Can anyone offer us any advise ????

Split up the attachments to below 25mb?0

Are you on about web mail?0

How big is the attachment you are trying to send? Attachments have to be MIME encoded for email and that adds quite a lot. It is far better to send data by ftp than as email attachments - of course you'd need to set up ftp servers but done as a minimalist exercise that only need be running a freeware program on your PCs and opening up firewall ports.
An alternative would be uploading the data to a filehosting server and just emailing the link to it. You'd need proper accounts to do it well but they hardly bust the bank or you could just look out for free online storage.

Hi Laurad737
Personally I can only offer assistance with Residential packages.
However if you email me to the address in my public profile I can ensure that its escalated to the folks at BT Business to resolve this for you.
Cheers

Rather unlikely that the receipient's address would accept attachments that large anyway, 10MB is a fairly typical limit. Email was not designed to send attachments that large, use FTP as advised above. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

These are emails being sent all around the world as we are both self employed. Can you do that with FTP ?0
-
Yes you can. Anyone with internet access can receive files by FTP, subject to download speeds of course. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Just tried the rapid share and it worked a treat !! Thanks for your help.0
