do i need my telephone line plugged in for sky upgrade?

i took out the sky ipod offer lst week, and have had it fitted and have have now been offered sky world free for a month, i subscribed yesterday and it said it could take upto 48 hours to get it. do i need my phone line plugged in for them to activate it? i dont have it plugged in all the time as my phone box is in another room.

No all upgrades to both viewing package and software are over the air (OTA).
TBH when ive changed my package its usually done before im off the phone, it shouldnt really take 48 hrs.0
