Have a little more patience, according to O2 sales (phone convo yesterday) they're getting the Desire April 30th, but no pre-ordering allowed.

And SE have said it can't do multitouch. It was assumed it was a software thing but the hardware is not in the phone.

From Experience with my X1 sony erricson may promise a upgrade but then they decided not to release it at all. I was told my x1 would go from WM6.1 to 6.5 when summer / autumn 2009 when they had engineered it, then the didn't bother.

SE are not alone in this, don't assume *any* manufacturer will release an upgrade tryand get the OS you want from the outset.
