Thurs 1st April - What small DFW things have you done today?!

afternoon all - have made it in to work (just) although car still under 10 inches of snow, the buses were at least running today. Got a major migrane though which is just at bay due to painkillers and am thinking wont get through the whole day so will prob head home early. V quiet here at the moment so dont feel too guilty. Looking forward to being off on Fri/Mon too

- pay for farmers beef which I got weeks ago and still never paid!
- Try and look at my budget - will need to reduce somewhere to make up for extra petrol costs
- spent (£2.56) in corner shop this morning despite planning NSD so must keep it low and record the spends on editgrid
- check banking
- batch cook some chilli and perhaps a chicken dish of some description.
- Tea tonight will be a left over baked potato, marinated salmon and some limp discoloured asparagus

New to this but am excited about getting stuck right in!
Today I have;
- Had home made sandwiches for lunch (usually spent about £2.50 or £3)
- Sent off email to claim £15 cashback for a flight i booked recently
- Charging my phone at work (like this one!)
- Paid in cheque from mobile cashback so I have readies in the bank next week (first time I've used the Nationwide cheque deposit thing - impressed!)
- Planning to walk home instead of bus since it's a nice night. (will take 20 mins more but I'll save £1.20!)
- Also going to go straight home after training tonight instead of heading to the pub!0 -
Today I have -
- Bought some Karrimor walking sandals and a camping kettle for £14.99 and £5.99 from Sports Direct instead of getting ripped off by Millets prices, ready for lots of camping weekends this summer if weather is ok!
- Stocked up on birthday cards with a great offer i saw in Card Factory - 5 x hand crafted cards for £1
- Phoned up about car insurance renewal as quote i'd had was rather good but one other company was beating the price on comparison sites. They offered to refund me my legal fee (£24.99) if I renewed making them the cheapest and my next years insurance will now be £127
:D
- Put some air into car tyres before drive oop north tomorrow as they were looking rather flat, so hopefully conserve a bit of petrol now.
- Clicks/scratchies
Think that's it.#5 - Save £12k in 20260 -

Oh, also, going to call MBNA to cancel one of my CCs with no balance. Not only will it mean I can't spend the £3,900 sitting there calling my name
but apparently it'll help my credit record.
Reckon my mobile battery should last til Tuesday now. Convenient as that's the next time I'll be in work

Hi all, great news about your OH Cleosmum _party_ what a relief!
I had been doing so well this week, but I have just caved in and ordered our dinner from Pizzahut to celebrate 'breaking up'. (The kids have, anyway!)But I did use a voucher code so got 2 big pizzas and a side for £12 so if I eke them out til lunch tomorrow I might be able to justify it!
Today I:
1) Went to work
2) Went to the library and stocked up on books to entertain the kids for the holidays.
3) Checked banking, quidco, looked for surveys and did SC.
Can't think of anything else ....
Have a good evening, L x0 -

Ooh was so tasty! Am on round 2 tonight. I usually use two packs of mince but only used one last night. Almost half the usual price.
OH loved it too - thought I was trying to be all "gourmet"!
