Thurs 1st April - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Morning morning everyone! Hooooray for April...and the sun is out here

And for me....it's the end of term so 2 weeks off after this
So, off to work for the morning thena quick trip to Tesco....don't need much - thought I'd better buy my own 2 something for Easter - posh tastes though the monkeys, they want Lindt chocolate:rotfl:
Ok. list:

Hi millyscarlett
I am staying at home, watching DVDs and reading my book (following surgery a few weeks ago) and only leave the house twice a week. This is brilliant, no unnecessary spending, no buying even more groceries I do not need, and I'm enjoying reading books (I have a whole bookshelf full), surfing online and de cluttering where I can. At the moment I'm reading "Chicks Dig Time Lords" which is a fantastic read.
Today I will:
Check online banking (Most DDs come off today)
Breakfast: Gluten Free Oats Porridge with Butter and Brown Sugar
Lunch: Coffee and Sandwich (Cheese and Onion Toasted)
Dinner: Risotto with Asparagus and Peas (Maybe some bacon tossed in?)
All from my storecupboard! which I am glad I built up once I knew when my surgery would be.
I'm also making Gluten Free Bread Rolls for tomorrow's dinner to go with blue cheese & lamb patties I made yesterday.
Think that might be it for today.
Have a great day everyone and take care.

Morning milly and casper!
Would you believe it's my day off and I'm posting earlier than ever! Just send OH off to deliver DD to nusery and DSS back to his mothers house so I need to plan a day! Still have DSD here (in bed, typical pre-teen) so will make use of her.
Today I will/have:
- Checked banking, and moved surplus to make PAD later (to make my balances a multiple of £5, as I do...lol)
- Hot water on for short time to do washing up then off for the rest of the day
- Taking OH's car to get a tyre done, being billed straight to his work
- Nipping into my work to get copy MOT certificate (FOC) to I can get my tax...I forgot!!!
- Thorough clean today, might buy paint to do the kitchen, we are doing it this weekend but might just attack it today
- Find cheapest replacement kitchen unit and maybe a new tap
- Batch cook cakes and biscuits and millies cookies to last the weekend
- Main aim of the day - spring cleaning time!!!!
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Thanx, I had my shoulder fixed, torn rotator cuff, so the 6wks with my arm strapped to my side is driving me bonkers! lol. I hope it all goes well and that you get a date soon, it's better to get it over with as soon as possible so you can start recovering, the waiting was doing my head in! I work in the NHS so I understand, I'm a cardiac anaesthetic nurse ;o) Take care and hope the wait is over soon, if not email the PALS and shout at them, it worked for me! I had a date two days later!
Cheers
