old crap...wouldnt bother myself but i guess its ok for low level tasks like ordinary net surfing (ie not high quality video streaming) and word processing
you would be better off putting your money towards a Toshiba, Dell or Sony....
Toshiba have for years been regarded as the company who makes the best laptops (though debatable now all the major players seems to have caught)
Dell often have some good offers and probably the manaufacturer id go for
Sony - expensive and a premium for the name but they do make nice laptops
HP, Compaq & IBM - generally make crap laptopsStevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -

re-read that as

Personally I would recommend this for £70 more:

A very nice laptop, with the new type brightscreen, bigger screen (15"), 80Gb Hard Disk, a much better processor and wi fi...
Having bought one 2 weeks ago I can say it is a lovelly piece of kit, with no dead pixels, which is always a bonus.0 -
I bought a Medion Laptop a few years ago from Dixons- never again, repairs are a nightmare for these as they are not straightforward, the engineers dont like working on them as they are so fiddly to repair, i rejected it in favour of another make.0

I would check that Tesco deal ... comet instore is selling the same thing for £399.0

This seems to me to be a very well priced product:

Lenovo £449.98 inc vat
Celeron 1.5GHz
512mb ram
80Gb HDB
DVD/R
WLAN
Bluetooth
4.5h battery
XP Home0 -
So you would recommend a laptop which is the same spec as the one suggested at Comet, without the new style brightscreen, and is £50 more?
Thought this forum was about money saving.....
