    Evening all :D

    Happy birthday Kaz

Still haven't bought anything except toothpaste that we needed. So that means I've finished a toothpaste... oh and a mouthwash... but I may of mentioned that already.

I painted my nails today, on my left hand because I can't actually do the right hand without it looking like I let a 3 year old do it :o So I'll have to take it off in a bit. Theres been so many times I've gone shopping with one hand done and had to hide my right hand in my pocket lol.

Nearly finished an M&S body butter. Tried to get rid last night but realised theres at least another 2 goes left!! Good job I didn't go with the first plan of scraping it all out in one go :o

There is a HUGE spider on the wall in front of me and for the first time I'm not scared. I've seen so many spiders in the house today... the dog ate one earlier... he prefers them to bee's :rotfl:
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.

If this thread continues in May, I will definitely join it (and probably well into 2011 looking at what I have to use up!). :)

    Candice xx

LOL, don't think there'll be any if about it pink!!

New thread day will be Saturday, I feel quite strongly that Katie Clampet's original post should always be acknowledged at the start of each month's thread since she was the originator of this brill idea, sure you'll all agree????

If so, perhaps whoever starts the new month's thread, would like to do a bit of cut and paste to include it!

the vicster, you are reasonably local to me...I just noticed you're in Bath. Bath and Bristol are my nearest cities.

Hey LIR, well now you know I'm close if you would like a shopping/mindless chats about nail varnish/girly buddy :T Although I do warn you that I'm a very much of an 'encouraging' rather than 'discouraging' shopper :D

That'll be why I have 15 mascaras :D (am planning to pass one on on Friday though!). Need to do a make up stocktake I think!

    Hello beautiful ladies!!

Another one here who loves catching up on this adorable thread!

    Now for a less-adorable rant....READY??? RIGHT!

This week has been an pathetic example of how much time I can waste sometimes. I have spent a TOTALLY DISPROPORTIONATE amount of time and energy FAFFING about trying to buy my P&P in the most MS way.

I feel as though Mr Boots has been toying with me with his web of offers, deals vouchers and freebies. I've been doing deals with Kaz by PM, posting on here re vouchers, phoning round branches trying to find the £31 Special Offer Every SA has told me she's seen "loads" in some other branch and I've just popped into town today and the last sold out last night. In the end I was going to bite the bullet, buy 1 jar for £20.50 and pay with my £5 off voucher til I got to the till and the SA said the shelf price was wrong and it went up a£1 last week to £21.50. Cutting off my nose to spite my face once again, I left it!!

Enough is enough! I hereby declare I am (maybe temporarily) abandoning my P & P night cream and at the risk of my face dropping into my neck, will proceed to test the much-lauded Aldi lLacura night cream for you, ladies.

There I feel much better now.
***Hoping the Aldi cream is in stock when I pop in on the way to work***

Hey Bronnie, if you are really desperate, let me know and I can always pick one up for you and post it up!

Trudij, you man magnet you! Don't like it when exes get involved though, very suspicious!

Rosemary...glad you get to go to the concert, that's great news! What is it?

Right will post back in a bit when I've caught up with this fabby thread!

Happy birthday Kaz - hope you had a wonderful day!

    (((((((NaB))))))))

Welcome to the newbies too - there seems to have been a few this week!

Another use-up here today - the liquid soap in the bathroom has finally spluttered its last. It was a random radox one - won't bother doing a WIBA? on it as I can't remember the specific details and anyway to me, liquid soap is liquid soap! I'm going to go onto bar soap now as we have a good few of those to use up.

    !

Aww! That's very kind of you!:T but I'm going to trial the Aldi cream now, out of curiosity. That would be a fabby monthly saving if it did the same job!! Looking forward to trying it out now actually and if it's any good and Boots lose a customer from it then that's what they deserve for all their messing about with pricing etc!

Hi LiR and Lynseydee and the vicster. I too am in the south west, I live about 4 miles from the pier that burnt down!
Wonder how many MSE'ers are in WSM? I know some of the Docs I have worked with are on here but don't know if they use the forums?
I love living down here, it's a beautiful area.

VikkiJD, if the clothes and other spending are spiraling then I would recommend you check out the What are you wearing thread. Umm, also the declutter 2010 thread which is on the old style board. Old style is fab for learning to reduce your grocery spends.
As you are a single Mum working 40 hours a week, I would imagine that your time is stretched to the limit. Perhaps the flylady thread would be useful for you too. I don't post on there but I do look at the list and try to follow it. I don't always do it on the day but I do try to do it in that week. It's a way of keeping a finger on the pulse and making sure the house runs itself to a degree.
The declutter thread is very useful too.
I know that I found my limited time was helped vastly by decluttering my house. I did my wardrobe (well, floordrobe :o) first and found that it massively removed the stress of being able to find anything to wear. My clothes are in better condition too now. It is easier to keep on top of the washing and ironing. Things are put away now so they don't get creased/ mucky/ dusty etc before they are worn. I also now only own stuff that looks good on me and I enjoy wearing (apart from my work uniforms but that's different lol!). I have been able to ramp up the brands that I wear to buying jeans from French connection and yanuk etc. This is because I know what I need and buy just one pair in the sales. My FCUK flares were £34 from £75 but I wear them to death!

Oh well, nothing to report as used up today. Glad to hear that some of you have reached splutter stage.
I'm off to work shortly with cake and nibbles as it's my birthday halfway through the shift.
    See you tomorrow ladies.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Only just seen this, anyone think there might be somethig in the Wessex Water? That makes you spend money on toiletries? Where are you from Debidoodle and trudij? I live just on the edge of Bath city centre.

Kaz, hope you have a fab birthday and my OH spent many years in WSM (his daughter still lives there)

I'm still chuckling to myself that there's so many product junkies in this area :rotfl:
