It wasn't allocated a drive letter - so it [ even though it's physically visible ] doesn't exist, or ;
you can't have two primary / active on the same O/S ?Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. You can have more than one primary on the same system , however you can only have one System/Action Partition ... I think🍺 😎 Still grumpy, and No, Cloudflare I am NOT a robot 🤖BUT my responses are now out of my control they are posted via ChatGPT or the latest AI0 -

My card reader, I,J,K and L has disappeared since the weekend, it shows in disk management but not in Computer, all other drives are as they should be.
Coincidence, or something similar?
I've disconnected the internal usb, rebooted, reconnected and booted again, but it's still not showing in Computer.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

It could be that you have the option to hide empty drives checked.
Go to Start - Computer - Organize - Folder and search options then click on the 'View' tab, then uncheck the 'Hide empty drives in the Computer folder' box and press OK.0 -

Thanks for that, but the card reader has always been visible, empty or not.
I'm pretty sure I now know the (minor) problem, which I've only just noticed.
On Sunday I plugged in an old HD in a caddy, it had never been on this PC, but on my previous PC it had been assigned drive letter L, which clashes with the card reader allocating I,J,K and L.
I'll have a look when I get time.
It's not exactly life or death.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Sorted, disconnected the card reader usb from the mobo, also printers and mouse, booted up with ps2 mouse, deleted everything usb in Device Manager.
Rebooted with everything reconnected, all devices appeared back in their correct positions.Move along, nothing to see.0
