Evening all and welcome chocolates, the kids are in bed :j goodness knows how long it'll last.

mama I wish it was teething, annoyingly its a combination of major sep. anxiety and the fact that he keeps rolling over, then wakes up and hits the big meltdown button. Why he cant just sleep on his tummy Ill never know :(

Sorry to report no news from those in control, so I guess we're stuck here now. Just hope everyone manages to find us

Sending out a distress call  anybody there........!

:j:j:jMine are all in bed too!! First time in a long time before 8 o'clock - just!

Nat - I'm so hopeless...:doh:sorry....foggy brain... of course its the rolling over.
Little love waking up thinking !!!!!!!
I'm no good on sleep advice....you'd think number 3 would be the best sleeper and we'd have had him sorted since day one (well he was fab until he was three months old and started waking up over and over in the night....he just came in with us so we all got some sleep. That's still his top spot 2 years later! At least he makes his way in mostly on his own now!
Bu88ar the rules do what makes life easier seems to be my motto!

I guess he's in a biggish cot so you'd be needing quiet a big thing to wedge him to stop him rolling. One of those triangular pregnancy bump wedge pillows?
Hope he relaxes onto his front for you tonight!

    Hi Sarah

and welcome, we're all a bit confused cos we've moved and no idea how or why??? We are a friendly bunch and mostly just started on our DMPs, so you might be able to tell us a thing or two! Who is still charging?? oh wait a minute, let me guess would that be Lloyds or Hbos????

    Thanks for the welcome guys....:)

You were right...my Halifax c/c is charging more in interest than my payment.
My Sainsburys credit card (also HBOS) was charging up until middle of last month. Thats now gone to a DCA who have accepted my DMP payments and they are not charging interest.

RBS have accepted my DMP but have defaulted the a/c,
Barclays have accepted the DMP but defaulted the account.
Vanquish have accepted for 12 month and marked that on my credit file arrangement to pay.
Littlewoods/very have kind of accepted, not sure what is going on with them really - they accept the payment then add a load of charges only to take them off the next statement. Dont really fancy speaking to them but overall its coming down.

Good luck with your DMP's - How is everyone else finding it ?

    Hiya everyone!
Just starting my DMP with CCCS and was wondering are we allowed to open savings accounts?? Now i cant use credit anymore i need to start putting little bits aside.....

    Hello

Yes of course you can just make sure it is opened with a bank not linked to your creditors as they will be able to dip into to it if they want to offset debts you have with them.

Good idea to put a bit aside , I am trying to do this for emergencies and also in the hope that at some point i will be able to offer F&F to some of my creditors.

We're hoping to build up a savings account as well, though it will be a while yet. Ideally I want to have a fund equal to the excess on our car insurance, so we're covered in case someone smashes into it (husband needs car for work, so without it we'd be really stuffed!). Once that's taken care of I'd like to build up extra to put towards the debt. The budgets given by the debt lines seem quite generous (compared to what we've been living on while trying to keep up with minimum payments!) so hopefully we'll have the extra to bring forward our debt-free date.

I guess one benefit of living in rented accommodation is we don't have to worry about any house emergencies - if the boiler goes, it's our landlord's problem not ours!

we're still in diaries I see. Hope everybody had a really good Easter and ate loads of chocolate, weather is awful here so I am hiding on the sofa for the last day of my staycation. Note to self don't have staycations when the weather is cold/wet/snowy/blowy/icy/hailstones etc, not so easy to do free things outside then doh!!!!
