Hey everyone, hugs to those who need them congrats to those with good news.
Well I've just been so disorganised the past month or so I've not properly kept up with spends but don't think I'm too far out. Can't remember if I've already said but OH and I have now split (about a month ago) and not really sorted out budget since. He's not giving me any money - instead I've said to keep it and knock it off value of his share of the house as I'm staying here and not really able to raise any money without selling (which don't really want to do if can help it). We've said we'll look again in 2 years at situation to see if I can sell then or raise money. Am going to get in Estate Agents this week for a rough valuation so can agree on the share. It's all a bit wierd! I need to get on and get organised - I need to ring WFTC as I think I can get some help from there and reduction in Council Tax as DD that is over 18 is currently full time student. Need to get on and do it this week.
Not doing too good on grocery budget but have lots of things growing in garden so should be a bit of a reduction over summer - need to get back to baking too, not done any for a few weeks. Anyhoo off to do a bit of tidying up before have the Estate Agents round.

Jayne, sounds to me like you're being tremendously organised! Hugs to you - I'm so sorry to hear you're splitting up. I know these things are never easy even if they are for the best. Hope you're taking extra-good care of yourself!
I am working on my spreadsheet at the mo and am getting a bit confused as I had carried money over from last year to be allocated to certain categories. So that is confusing matters somewhat! I have overspent massively in some categories like food. And I'm almost too embarrassed to mention takeaways. Frugaldom would probably feed a family of 17 for years on what I spent. They are something I reach for when I am way too tired to cook. And often I don't enjoy them as they are just filling a hungry belly! I need to find some sort of HM ready meal for emergencies that can be cooked from frozen.
Somehow, I seem to be under budget overall though. The amounts I allocated to various categories has changed lots since I started. In fact some categories don't even exist any more! So I have used that money to fund my overspends.
Back to the spreadsheets to try to work it all out!Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Thanks guys. Up way too early  but feeling better this am but still a bit physically funny. M my friend who introduced me to MSE said it was anxiety but I don't know. Maybe? Anyhow good news is I feel better today so DV get to vol work today
.
Good news whilst making enquiries for washing machines I found one (or two or three...but I really want the cream hotpoint one) for £135 including delivery and installation and 6 months warranty. Yay....and if I scrimp this week I can afford to get it this week :T . It's reconditioned but should be okay. The other option is like saving for a £220 Beko plus installation (£20)...so I figure the 135 one should be fine and the chap sounded lovely
and he's literally 5 mins walk down the road. I figure the one and only charity shop who does them 'aint worth it cos they're 70-100 with only 1 month's guarantee plus delivery.
but then I still have to put Monday's laundry on the airer and it never got spun
So yay been doing my crochet just now and appetite is coming back though right now it's more whoopsie food of crisps and choc but so long as that don't last more than a week no worries....
Hugs and thanks for folks prayers.

PS. does anyone know of couchsurfing? I just paid my money to get verified to try and get some cheap sleeps (I think it's a one off payment). Maybe not so good for families but good for us singletons....E:dance:

I hope this is the right thread to post this. A while ago I watched a programme on apple trees(scrumping) in communal areas and I think there was a website - does anyone know what this is called and where I would find either a website or some information on fruit trees on common land local to myself? TIA0

Hello all,
I haven't posted in an age what with the fishfinger and suffering PND. But I am really starting to feel better now so should be about more, hopefully.
Today I am helping OH in his shop and looking after the fishfinger. I popped in Wilkos earlier and most of there veggie seeds/bulbs are half price or better so I brought some that say I can use them next year, that way I am ahead of the game!!!
I'm going to head off and read back a few pages to see what we are all up to.

Hi all,
I managed just about ok in May I think! Some overspends (petrol £44, toiletries £26, food £16) but with underspending in most other categories, I managed to even out with £18.67 still in the kitty. The petrol will be a lot less in the coming months - dropping private tuition clients that I travel to, and also when the babe arrives, I won't be going out as much!!
I am going to reorganise the budget for June onwards so there is less misc. spending.

Just a quick update with spends:
- I spent £258.41 in May
- I also spent £201.64 on petrol   (which isn't included in this budget).
So, not great! I need to reign it in BIG time in June, so lots of NSDs hopefully!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Morning all and Hugs...
Just checking in. Washing machine came to more than I thought - £149 inc delivery and installation but I think (and pray) I have enough. Sold one item on ebid yesterday so will have to package and post that later. Washing machine comes this pm
BIG HUGS FISHCAKE - Praying about your PND hun. Keep in touch...
On Monday I go and see the benefits lady about getting a grant for this washing machine - apparently it doesn't matter I've already gotten it.
Derriere still not fab (remember I had to go to out of hours doc on Sabbath about it cos like I attacked it with a pair of scissors. - oops!) so I don't know how long I put the cream on before I go back to the doc :P
And I think like in a couple of weeks I get to apply for my first cashback on mobile :T
I just need monies for food this week (no I haven't weighed this am - that's 2 mornings in a rowand like, yes AM eating, am like hungry ALL the time and no I'm not preggas LOL)
Blessings
E
