Ok here we go
1) I have been making it and it doesnt bubble "sudsy" in the same way commercial powders do. Doesnt mean it doesnt work!
2) Mine is very stiff as well. Sometimes I boil the kettle and sling a bit of hot water in and shake it up a bit - I have mine stored in a plastic flagon with a lid so i can shake it and I also get a knife and jam the knife in to chop it up as well.
3) I dont put it in the drawer, so I wouldnt do that in future., This is cos I read it can clog up in the drawer. If you have some white vinegar, a slosh of that should thin it out or even some hot water - I put mine in one of them "balls" that you get for laundry liquid- somewhere in this thread I put a link ( way back in the thread) for a free "dosing ball" i think ,they are called ariel or persil sent it to me for free. Someone also mentioned that they put a dose of it in a plastic airfreshener box you know the ones where you get solid airfresheners in nad that works as a dosing ball as well.
Doesnt sound like youve done anything "wrong" particularly- dont panic:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
i second Lynz on adding some hot water, my "gloop" is solid
so i put about half a ball worth then add hot water and stir till it's melted in, then chuck in the machine
everything comes out lovely and clean

I don't think they make much profit on it.
Hopefully our bodies synthesize our own.:)0 -

Oooohh...left the site to scrub my teapot & came back to the posh new look! Not sure I like it but I'll get used to it. Maybe I'm not so keen on change now I'm knocking on mesen
Not looking forward to my cuppas for a few days either. The teapot needed a good de-tanning tho but I prefer the tea when the pot has 'matured' a bit. No real effort involved in the cleaning as it was a goodly lump of bio washing powder & hot water, leave for an hour then a good rinse.
The carpet wasn't as good a find as I'd hoped; you can read more HERE & I'm beginning to despair of ever getting my house & garden sortedFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Just checking in. Paranoia still playing up. First ECDL test tomorrow so have to be up early and was up @ 5am this morning as is so will soon be nap time
.
Got a response from council re plumbing for washing machine - said I will have to get housing repairs onto it but they will pay for it and do it if it needs doing(when I get time LOL. It's not a priority this week.
Going skinny budget - getting no spin dryer (£20 or so for 2nd hand spin dryer = rest of this years laundry budget if not more ) or extra improved chest of drawers. Going to get a box and sell wonky sewing machine (mistake/whoopsie purchase on Friday) on Ebid. Not gotten on well with the Ebid version of paypal verifying my cards. Didn't notice you have to check the statements and then put the amount they've debited from your cards in...has cost me a fortune so far....only realised that today ..
Anyhow too many eeks spoil the broth LOL ( and I called Ma weird by sms this am.She is naturally in denial, relative being a word not in her lingo. I also LOVE biblical insults. Referred to a chap @ crisis line I'm getting wary of as 'a double minded man unstable in all his ways' (it's from James in the New Testament) last night. He was not happy tee hee)...
Anyhow NAP TIME
Last question WHERE'S NUALA????

(((hugs))) to MIA - and anyone else who needs one.
On-line for the first time since Friday tea-time, having been away for the weekend - and going straight to work without coming home first!
Weekend was pretty frugal. Used less than half a tank of petrol (judging by my fuel gauge), so that wasn't as bad as I'd expected, took some food from home, and the only food shop I did while away was a few bits for tea yesterday (around an £8 bill - which included a bottle of red wine for OH - all of which is being charged to my social life budget). Accomodation cost me/us nothing - apart from £1.50 for 7.5kWh of electricity. Didn't use the gas or phone at all, so no charges for those. OH paid for bread and milk to take up, and also for lunch out on Saturday plus an ice-cream each on Saturday and Sunday.
My mobile rang almost as soon as I got a signal coming home, and it was work..... so (as I don't have hands free and was driving) it was ignored until we got back to OH's. Appears the manager I told that I couldn't get in until my offical 1pm today (this was last Thursday, when I first saw they'd changed the rota the previous weekend and given me a 7am start) hadn't passed the message on to anyone else, and they wanted to know why I wasn't there..... and then if I could get in early!! They got all of 15 mins extra from me, and only got that as I'd taken a uniform with me, which meant I could go in without coming home first.Cheryl0
