Free Gatwick hotel and 8/15 nights parking (refunded after stay)

How have you managed to find anywhere cheaper,I have tried every site possible.We are flying from East Midlands on the 13/05/10 back 24/05/10 we dont mind if we stay before or after our hols.

I had a call today saying that the hilton room was different as it was not cancellable or able to be alltered and theirs was, it didnt work for me this time but thanks anyway

I have just had a call and it looks like I've been successful. They have told me to ring up the day after I return to the UK to arrange the refund. I asked if they could e-mail me confirmation I've been successful and she said she was not able to do that but all the notes were on the screen on my ref no and the refund would be actioned after my phone call when I return. Do you think I should insist on some thinking writing???

Not sure if I understand this 'offer' at all.

We are flying from Gatwick mid-May (coming back 12 days later).

On the HE site, the Hilton comes up as £189 (with protection) inc parking. The Hilton's website, for the same date, comes up as £145 (but I can't tell if that price includes parking). If it does, am I reading the OP right in that when we get back we would get the £189 refunded in full ?

We live in Manchester but are flying from Gatwick in mid May to Vegas with Virgin as they only fly from there, so we are after a nights stop over with parking the night before we depart.

Definitely gonna look into this now, as free accommodation would just top off our free Tesco holiday a treat!

I have just booked a room at the ramada in glasgow, HE are charging £117 with 8 days parking.

Ramada are charging £65 for the same deal.

Im on the live chat now but i get a feeling there gonna wriggle out of it.

Typical ramada website has just gone down.

As they cant confirm it i have to wait for a call back tommorrow as she has created a price match form and someone has to check it out.

i dont understand how u get it for free ,the site only says it will refund the difference if u find it cheaper ,i think i must be stupid or what please help?

as i suspected they are trying to wriggle out of it.

The ramada offers free parking where as the HE are booking parking with an independant parking operator appantly.

So i said that it doesnt state that its independant on my booking form as there are no ''other'' details referring to another company so i assumed it was at the hotel.

So im awaiting another phonecall back.

Ah just had a call back;

HE could find the deal for £100 with 15 days parking which isnt what i wanted i wanted 8 but as its not cancellable its not a price match as HE's is cancellable, as they charged me £2.49 for the priviledge. They then went on to quote a load of other drivel about this that and the other.


So i have cancelled my booking and they are refunding the cancellation fee too.

She said that my hotel & parking was a website special offer and wasnt included in the price match, which it isnt its their normal price, its just that its advertised on a banner at the top of the page so HE class it as a special offer.

I wont try ever again - its too much of an effort.

Hi,

I'm looking into booking a hotel room near Heathrow. No parking required. I found Sheraton Skyline for £76.38 on HE website. ASDA travels has a double room including breakfast for £75.88. Do you think HE would refund it back or would they count this as two different products ?
