V. Good value, IMHO. service so far has been excellent. Cover heat also cover electric systems too, according to their website.
Well Well Well!
Just joined MSE and made 4 posts - all singing the praises of cover heat!!!
You have nothing at all to do with the company of course??
If it looks like a Duck, if it walks like a Duck. and quacks like a Duck, it is probably SPAM.0 -
Two things to remember with BG Homecare
1) they do NOT offer a service it is a service INSPECTION. some engineers will service the boiler others will do the measurements and saftey checks only.
2) You have to arrange the service yourself ie they do not notify you that you are due a service ( they used to do this but do not any more - I wonder why???!!!)
Just about to have a rant at thge MD of BG after they did not bother to turn up for our "service" and didnt notify us. My wife missed a medical appointment for our son and lost a days wages.
BG have offered 1 months cost (£17) as a good will gesture. WE have had no formal apology either.

I am beginning to wonder if any of the maintenance services actually do what they promise. I read about BG classing no hot water as an emergency. I am sitting in my lounge freezing because I have no heating and no hot water as my boiler has broken down. From 9:15 in the morning I was asked to wait in and someone would arrive before 6pm.After 8 hours of waiting for an engineer I was told he couldn't come because the day time emergency staff finished at 5pm. They would put me on the night emergency but it could 1 in the morning before anyone showed up. They didn't think I would want to be sitting up all night. How considerate as I have to be up at 6am to go to work. I would rather not be able to shower or wash my hair before I go to work the next day, plus freeze all night. I had things I needed to do today which I couldn't do as I was waiting for an engineer, who never arrived. BG any better than anyone else at the moment they are not my favourite people.0

just bumping this

I have house insurance with homecare cover but wont be covered if I don`t have my heating/boiler serviced by a qualified person at least every 12 months.
Any recommendations?0
