Easter Weekend - quiet for house viewings?

We are trying to sell our house and have an average of one viewer per week (ten or eleven so far). I always thought that Spring/Easter weekend would bring out the buyers but my estate agent reckons it is generally quiet at BH weekends.

Might as well go away somewhere.

Well, I called an agent yesterday to arrange a viewing for Fri or Sat. Problem is, YET AGAIN ( this has happened twice before - and yes, they have my number!), they haven't called me back. Hope it isn't your EA and your house!

No. Lots of people do go away for BH weekend but lots of others go house-hunting! Depends a bit on the weather too though.

I hope the people round here go house hunting, I am getting so fed up.:(

Nice weather might help but I don't see it on the horizon.

Is your agent open? If they aren't open then undoubtedly you will be quiet for viewings.

I used an agent once that were open all Easter Weekend. On Saturday morning I took them a huge tin of chocolates and told them the house was spotless and that I'd be in if they wanted to send people round. I had 12 viewings that day!

And I accepted an offer just as the in-laws served up lunch for us on Easter Day :o

Lesson = Chocolate can buy you favour :)

I was brought up in the Glasgow area but have lived down here since I was 19.:)

I am hoping that lots of people will do what you are doing. Good luck!
