I have edited the post now. I hope its not fraudulent, I mean what would be the difference if I noticed it or not? I didn't do anything wrong.

Yes, I couldn't wait to get on these boards and share my good luck, but it wasn't a premeditated con or anything. Just lucky

Although now I am starting to worry...

I wouldn't worry gtothec, it's not your job to check how each voucher scans, that's what the sales assistant gets paid for, so either they noticed and it didn't strike them as odd or they weren't paying attention, neither one is your fault! :)

Seems this is a glitch AND has happened in the past already, even reported on these boards :O Though how strange it's Belfast again just 3 years later, something smells dodgy to me!!

Nothing dodgy about me. Have been lucky enough to finally get a really good glitch, the likes of which I used to read about on the boots forum. I was really excited to post it up here so that others could try it out.

Maybe I misread but I took her words to be a general friendly warning. Some Boots glitches can fall into a grey area, and so its always best not to draw attention to yourself.

Thanks c l a i r e, that is exactly what it was. I have seen op hauled over the coals over similar things in the past and it is not a pretty sight.

We lost the Boots grabbit thread because too many 'debates' broke out, and its so nice that it doesn't happen anymore. I was merely trying to avoid a repeat of past events. :)

I can confirm this happened to me once too. I think it's just a one off, and whoever this happened to, happy days to you.

Mine happened with the postal voucher at Xmas 2008. It was a 250 points on a £25 spend. I got lots of Jemma Kidd nail files and various other things with extra points totalling about £51. SA put voucher through, came up with £20 and she was like OH OK. Put it through. Got 1000 Xmas Evening Points and about 1500 Jemma Kidd nail file points. So spent about £31, got 3000 points back. Happy Days.

Needless to say I will try my vouchers out today. Hope it works.

No offence meant but it may be useful if the people who quoted and highlighted the glitch deleted or edited their posts.

I think it was posted this way for a reason.

I think that if the OP didnt want boots to catch on quickly then maybe they should of changed the title of the message ;)

Hi Mimi, nice to "see" you again! Anyone who gets any glitches from Mr B is lucky these days, so well done to anyone who manages to get one of these.

Happy Easter everyone, and here's to some great glitches in April.

    xx

OK, I agree that the OP (and those who quoted him/her) should delete references to this transaction, but surely it's not illegal or fraudulent???

Hi Tara, what are you doing on grabbit naughty:rotfl:woops, im on here too:o.
I dont think its illegal seeing as it is human/ computer error the op wasnt trying to do anything wrong and was just lucky to benefit from it, but im sure the boots police will correct me if im wrong:D:rotfl::D:rotfl:

    Hello

I work at Boots. This happens quite a lot as the Boots codes sometimes have the same codes as the incentive bonds so when the voucher is scanned it comes up with 2 options as the code has 2 uses: either the incentive bond or 250 extra points. Most of the time the SA will choose the right one but I guess sometimes they don't realise. Don't all rush to get it! I've had this with the Boots mailing coupons like 250 extra points when you spend £20.
