Credit Reports - Experian

My debts were managed by CCCS for many years but I recently moved away from them in lue of investigating the unenforceable route. At the moment they are on hold whilst the DCA's get the original agreements. I have been paying them for years though.0

Having gone down the unenforcability route you may have made future borrowing more difficult.Look at it from the lenders view, if someone borrowed money and didn't pay it back would you lend to them? answer is probably not.
I'm afraid there are lots of chancers out there trying to get away with not paying back money they borrowed, which is entirely up to them, but if they then want to borrow in the futre they shouldn't be upset if the lenders won't lend to them. Theres an old saying "Once bitten, twice shy"..............What sort of deposit have you got? how much are you looking to borrow? whats your income?0 -
Hello,
Well I got my reports back from Equifax and Call Credit and they are.....well not the best. Certainly not as good as my Experian report anyway. I am totally lost now though because of the data contained within them its baffling. I read martins coverage of these reports and although they are not "iron clad" as such, there is data in there that I am confused by.
For example, accounts that are closed but they were closed with an outstanding balance and yet no one has ever requested money from me for them (and this is going back years again)
Also, an account that was handled by the CCCS for years has been given a "D" for default every single month for the past 5 years or so that it was with them. Capquest have been doing that.
All 3 reports when put together do not equate to what I am told I owe so has something gone wrong? I am a little worried because I am wanting to sort out my credit so I can get a house
Also I have agreements back from mt creditors with my signature but like I said some are 10 years old. I dont want to NOT pay them but I would like to be offered a more realistic settlement from the DCA's that have these files. Is there a letter I could send to that affect? requesting a reduced settlement figure??
feel really crappy now if Im being honest. 0 -
I noticed something that I need some further advise on (I know im sorry I am just trying to understand all this). When I look at all 3 reports they all have the sames debts listed on them. There are other debts I have that do not show on any of my files at all. Why is that?
As for the debts that ARE there. They equal a very small amount. If I clear those first would this assist me in cleaning my records up?
My apologies once again for being slow with this but its all a tad confusing for me.0 -
Wont those entries drop off the credit report anyway after 6 years?leveller2911 wrote: »Having gone down the unenforcability route you may have made future borrowing more difficult.0 -

It states that anything older than 6 years is not on your report anymore. I am just hoping to clear this up so that my credit file is in some kind of repaired state. I felt it best to start with those debts that are actually listed on my credit file. I dont know if that will work though.0
