Help needed for clueless person!

I hope someone can help as I really don't know the answer here....

we've booked to go to Florida in September - car hire 'included' but NO insurance for that at all - I don't know who the car hire is with
Holiday was booked with Thomas Cook
They are now trying to sell me car insurance for £364 - no idea what this does or doesn't cover!
Help! There must be a cheaper way of doing this as when I was looking into car hire alone it was cheaper than that for the two weeks with insurance included!

Thanks for any help that can be offered at all!

Watch the small print on these fly drive deals, some of them don't let you buy https://www.insurance4carhire.com or similar policies and make their own insurance compulsory.

    Hey :)

Sadly most "free cars" work out ALOT more expensive than hiring your own car seperately,, eg ... During our last trip to Florida We recieved a "free car" from Virgin .. total for insurance £150. We did not collect Virgins "free car" and hired our own through Carhire3000 total cost £120(bigger car than Virgins)

Id advise you to forget about Thomascooks "Free car" and hire your own using one of the following sites

    Carhire3000
    Netflights

Search MoneysavingExpert for more site's and reviews regarding USA carhire

    Enjoy your holiday! :)
