Laptop with best built-in speakers?

I am looking for a new laptop and the main thing I want is a good set of in-built speaker. I found ACER Aspire 6930G laptop at dealrocker.com. It has built in subwoofer, but I am not sure about the sound quality. Is there anyone has this laptop, if so then what’s your view on sound quality..? Please feel free to pass on your recommendations and advice.

Hi

I don't have the 6930G but I do have the 6935G which I believe has identical specs as regards audio.

While sound will never be as good as a proper audio system or a well-specced desktop, the 6935G definitely has well above average sound for a laptop.

My daughter is more into music than me and when I got the 6935G last year I remember she expressed surprise as to how good the sound quality is.

Hope this helps.

Can I ask what the reason is for basing your decision of laptop around the speakers? You can get a fantastic pair of lightweight, portable headphones for under £40.

I'd personally be choosing a laptop based on memory, CPU, screen size, HDD etc.

I'll suggest Toshiba Satellite with Harman/Kardon built-in speaker.

As [Deleted User] says, "laptop" and "a good set of inbuilt speakers" are almost mutually contradictory. Because speakers perform best when they have large cones moving large amounts of air, all you are likely to get out of the best laptop speakers is an improvement on not really very good. You can't really beat the laws of physical acoustics...

Agreed. When was the last time you heard a song on someone's mobile phone speaker sound good?
Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!

Acer laptop speakers are very bad, very low volume.

Coming from someone who's just watched the Uefa match on the ITV player with an Acer 5024 laptop, I can soundly (pun intended :rotfl:) agree with this comment.
• yes Acer Laptops are great but the speakers are Awful.
• Asus have a laptop with Bang and Olufsen speakers, have a read of this
