Help please!!!!

Hi,
First of all i've decided to walk out of my family home, due to circumstances, no they can't be resolved. Please do not ask for the full story as it is private, and trust me there is no going back.
So my income is £161 a week
My Expenditure is roughly £100 a week
Will income and expenditure and debt be taken into account when applying for housing benefits?
Any advice appreciated
Turn £100.00 into £1000.00
Decided to start off with things in house, as i have no money!
Currently £38.70/£1000 :T

There is no housing benefit any longer, Local Authorities now implement a Local Housing Allowance which is based on the size of the household. Different, lower rates apply to those under the age of 25. You can check what the LHA is for your area by logging onto the LA website. This amount is the maximum the LA will pay to those on benefits so you must find somewhere to rent at or under that amount. The amounts so not vary according to what a person's outgoings or financial responsibilities are but are paid direct to the tenant and the tenant is then responsible for paying the landlord. The hard part is finding a landlord willing to take on a tenant receiving benefits.
  • I have already found a 2 bedroom house which is £90 p/w
Given i only earn£161 a week can they help?
    Thanks

Income and savings will be taken into account, debt and expenditure won't

You may be better off posting on the benefits board here

As a single 19 year old they'll consider a two bedroom house to yourself too much - can't you get people to share it so that you're only reponsible for a proportion of the rent ? Alternatively look at bedsits or a room in a shared house.
  • Why would a 19-year old need a 2-bedroomed house? Your LHA rate will most likely only cover a room in a house-share or being a lodger in someone else's home. Have you looked on your LA website to check the maximum they are prepared to pay?
  • Its the only thing i can find really, for the cheap price, all the bedsits and house shares aren't suitable

LHA by postcode will find you the info you need.

Why have you left? If you're homeless get to the council and get on their housing list.
  • Its intentionally homeless though isnt it, they won't help will they? I've left due to personal reasons chick.
