Not free but is quite heavily subsidised.

• I don't really care who you are having an affair with, how naked you get in your private life and how many photo's you have taken of yourself in this position BUT these are things to keep outside the office so that people in the office are comfortable
• Maybe? A note of this meeting is going into your personal file so that we can review any progress at appraisal.

1. Empathise with her unhappiness
2. Stick to facts that can be substantiated if necessary
3. Build ammunition incase she doesn't go quietly

Does that help?

If she butts in at any point ask her to let you speak your piece first (in fact ask her to listen up front and tell her she will have a chance to respond when you are finished talking).

If you can pre meet with your colleague to go through what you want to say it may help you get the words/issues straight in your head as once verbalised they are clearer, easier to remember and easier to articulate the second time around. It will also mean your colleague has no surprises to deal with in what will be a tough meeting.
