Ok, Pint the font of all things boiler is sat next to me and he says....
If it's changing from an old system to a combi boiler, it'll take 2 blokes a day, dependant on gas meter, whether you need to change the pipe, and putting in a pipe for condensing. It depends on what needs doing. If it's from old, you need to change the tanks too, and put it all in. So it could get up to 4, but shouldn't.
If it's combi to combi, it's a day's work for one bloke, as you don't need to uprate the gas main, but may need to put a condenser trap in. That would be about 1.5 maybe
ETA: Pint is doing a system change and adding a rad in, and that's costing just over 2, but it does depend on the size of the house. Bog standard 3 bed would be a normal size, if you have more bathrooms or en-suites and stuff that's where it's pricey

Its old system to combi, 3 bed house plus condensing pipe( although I think they called it a waste pipe?) but to be honest I think the miserable scum sucking scum saw an OAP and thought AHA time to rip some one off!

    thanks again xxxx

Sammy not too much vino..you have the rest of the decorating remember lol

Too late! Decorating got the better of me...I got the ladders but I have run out of paint for the woodwork and I have tried two Dulux mixing places for the right paint. Can't wallpaper till I have done the woodwork so I kind of gave up. Will do the top half of the hall wall in the morning and then go and try to find the woodwork paint tomorrow....

No - she conveniently waited for the male manager that was sitting right next to me to be away from his desk.

I know my manager will believe me - she knows how hard I work, and that I never palm work off on anyone else (in fact she laughs because I can't delegate and try to take too much on). I'm not worried about getting into trouble, or having errors logged (even if they stand, I will still be well under the acceptable number of errors for the month, as I haven't had any others). It's just the fact that I'm not equipped to cope with office b*tching, and if it carries on (which I suspect it will), I wont want to stay there any more. :(

I find it hard at my place for similar reasons. I don't do confrontation terribly well although at the last meeting I went to someone had a go and I just thought SOD IT and had a go back she soon shut up!

Altohugh in your case she sounds fairly intent on being.......welll......stupid ? you'd said you'd do the work what conversation was she listening to?????????????????????????????

stupidpeople are just so annoying (and yes I am a cow)

then you seriously need to work on this issue. There are idiots like her in every office you work so you can't let it beat you.

Ignore the office !!!!!ing - she is jealous and is obviously trying to make herself look smarter at your expense. Don't waste negative energy even thinking about her.....but you need to keep a repartee of witty retorts....
