Orange sending dodgy invoices...

I recently signed up for a year's mobile broadband with Orange and the dongle was free as it was a pay monthly contract.
They then sent me a bill for £31. I rang to complain and after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing was told this was standard procedure to show me what the dongle would have cost. But it looked like a genuine invoice and I bet if I'd paid, they wouldn't have refunded me. I wonder how many people they manage to scam this way into paying an extra £31 that they don't actually owe? That could add up to a tidy profit.
I wasted nearly an hour trying to sort this out with them.
They did promise to send me email confirmation of the fact that I didn't owe them this money - but the email never arrived.

If you look to previous threads i have had bad dealings with Orange over the last few weeks and i actually received a text advising me of a contract i had just agreed with the sales team.I called back and they denied they had sent a text and i actually have the number what sent the text and it says WELCOME TO ORANGE when you call the number.I have requested that i speak to a manager and they refuse, i have written a letter of complaint and still no response.I am of the opinion they are a bunch of liars and i enquired if any of the 16 calls i have made to them was recorded, you can guess the response!! correct !! NO that was somewhat of a coincidence

Play them at their own game!! I bet if you rang and told them that you had been promised say £50 compensation all of a sudden all of their calls will have been recorded!!

Hi guys ,update on my situation from yesterday,after all the lies and stories i have had from Orange i finally got them to see reason and agreed a deal for my 3 contacts.I went home and told the family the sage had finally been finished BUT YOU WILL NOT BELIEF THIS just had a call from home and they have just delivered the phones and they have not delivered the Nokia X6 has agreed they have sent a Nokia 5230 what a bunch they are !!!!!

I thought Orange were supposed to be better customer service wise than the others! Seems I was wrong. The customer service has been as bad as Vodafone but the coverage isn't as good!
