Do not assume. Check the facts.emerald_starcat wrote: »I only have an address for them, no valid phone number so cannot ring them.
I have opened a dispute but they have ignored that, so someone that sells items and doesn't check a) their emails. b) their ebay must really struggle to post items on time, sell things on ebay etc etc.
Unless automated ebay means that ebay fairies package your items up and send them to the correct address without you checking your emails and ebay? Wow automated ebay sounds great, might give it a try!
You have NO concept of reality, sorry but that is a FACT!
The words teddy and pram spring to mind. I did not disagree with you re the seller.
However you assume they have been online. I was merely showing you this assumption is wrong.
Also, I did not say YOUR seller was titanium p/s and to be fully automated you can be a private seller. Where did I assume this?
If you pull their details from Ebay, you will get a telephone number, if this is not valid, report them to Ebay. These details can be obtained from the advanced contact info.
And yes, automated can be Ebay fairies! Believe it or not there are various automated packages available, not all expensive either. These include software to answer emails by using keywords, print packing and picking lists and even, print your labels without you even looking at the ebay sale.
My reason for posting was just to let you know that even if a seller 'seems' to be online, this is not necessarily the case. You seem to have overlooked this, in your haste to be right in absolutely everything.
At the end of the day, you have a clear SNAD. Dispute and return. End of. No need for the drama. You have NO concept of reality, sorry but that is a FACT
Apology accepted. :rotfl:0 -

The reason for this thread was to get help and advice from others not sarcastic and clever comments.
No I do not have a full concept of how 'automated' ebay works, thats why I need advice from you and others that do. However being patronizing doesn't really help at all.
Drama? Looks like you have the stage to yourself!:rotfl:My daughters are my world0 -

The advice is. SNAD, return and get over it. Where is the drama?
The item doesn't look BNWT, they are very creased, and your seller, is clearly a business seller despite not being registered as such.0 -
I agree, they do sell a lot - I looked them up on goofbay.
If they don't respond will ebay still ask me to return the item for a refund - even if the seller hasn't agreed?
The trousers could have been worn - they tag is only attached with a safety pin.
It's just annoying as I bought these for my OH for my sister's wedding next week and now he has to find another pair he likes - he is fussy! My daughters are my world0 -

How did you find the item? I didn't post a link!
Oh I know - my ebay username!My daughters are my world0 -

Oh I know - my ebay username!
I found it by your description, it is not difficult.
I just replied to your post but we have a thunderstorm here and I was cut off. So ....again.
You may wish to edit some of the details in the initial post so that you cannot be identified. Some people like to get their kicks by causing havoc on other websites when they have identified someone.
You have two problems that I see.
Escalate the PP dispute and return the item via online trackable means. Paypal will give you back your FULL initial payment, including the P&P you paid to have it sent to you. They will NOT refund the P&P to send back to the seller.
Secondly, you need to get your OH some trousers!
I am not English and English is not my first language, although it is mostly gramatically correct and factual; certainly the points I gave you were 100% so. I did not intend to be abrupt and apologise if you took my posts as such. I just see this as a straight forward SNAD which you WILL win. No problems.
The OH and trousers problem is not so easily remedied. But you could get rid of him and keep the trousers instead!

Have edited!
I have done a dispute in the resolution centre with ebay. Do you think I should have done a paypal one? Shall I see what happens with the ebay one?
Hmmm... Not sure if the OH will be pleased if I swapped him for a pair of trousers, however would be beneficial for me - trousers don't belch and fart and leave dirty underpants lying around! My daughters are my world0 -
Change the sizes in your description and/or the 'name' of the trousers. This is the bit which is easily identified. As there are only 5 pairs which fit that description as having sold recently!
My limited 'expertise' is as a seller. I don't know about Ebay disputes as a buyer, as I understand they are fairly new or updated procedure. Personally I would escalate the claim within Paypal, as I know how that works. If you can do PP, then do it, and immediately escalate it. Then on Tuesday send them back. If you can go for Special Delivery, that would be the most secure way of sending them back. Update the PP claim with the tracking number. Once delivered, on Wednesday, ring PP and ask for your money back.
Also, with regards your last comment. You have more problems than I first thought. :eek:0
