  • Hiya Davo - (hope you don't mind me calling you that easier than writing the full name out each time) glad you got the vouchers from the Tesco I mentioned. I had quite an enjoyable shop there today and don't know if it's the mystery shopper coming out in me but I actually commended Tesco CS staff for their store and the quality of service received today. She was quite taken aback that a customer had complemented them !

I am wondering about trying the toothpaste/toothbrush combination too after spending £12 on a check up yesterday, 5 mins ago my filling dropped out ! arghhhhhhhhh when I was chewing a toffee.

  • Good Morning too - Bore Da cheekylittlemonkey

Funny thing you should mention MFI, I was mystery shopping in Cardiff last week, looked across as I was shopping and the MFI store had a sale sign on it with all signage taken down. Nearly had heart failure !!! anyways, the sales assistant noticed I had gone slightly pale and reassured me that they had actually just moved down the road to bigger premises.

My points this quarter are over 120 now = £480 at MFI plus last quarter's already converted of £510 so just under £1,000 to spend and then December's quarter is always high due to Christmas so I am hoping to have around £1700 to spend at MFI in January. I have lots of bedroom furniture in storage already but would like the fitted kitchen, a new bathroom suite and the ensuite to come from MFI or at least use the vouchers to pay for part of the costs.

The extension is coming way over budget so if they do stop the MFI deals I would be gutted ! anyway, just checked and it is there on the search facility.

    Hi Welshy
My haul is gradually stoping as I gave loads of vouchers away and there aren't anymore at my tesco.
BTW how do you get to do the mistery shopping. sounds fun

Visited the new Tesco Silverburn today. Sadly I couldnt find any of the money off tokens. As an MSE newbie I am inspired by this site and was determined to get as much as I could with the vouchers...never mind.
I still managed to get 10.68 off with BOGOF...Its a start ...unless anyone has any of the vouchers left and has already stocked up.
Working hard to reduce debts and get better value for money :o
  • I went to another Tesco today and they had run out....they really are like trying to find a needle in a haystack at the moment. This is the second time they have released these vouchers though in about 6 months, so hopefully they should do them again soon, so always keep a look out in your local.

ms_newbie, if I do manage to find some somewhere, I will let you know and send some over.

Ms newbie -Silverburn?-is that what pollok tesco is called? in glasgow-I got a few vouchers low down on a shelf near the make up last week but did not see any yesterday-I have to go back today for an R&R so ill have another look or maybe ask as this offer is brill.

princessa- do you work at Tesco-can you ger R&R if you do ? and use vouchers I'm thinking it would be a good idea to work there but want to get R& R's -genuinely without being dishonest or cheating.
  • Success today, my smile is going to be whiter than white soon !!!

Went to tescos, spent just over £31 on toothbrushes, dental floss and toothpaste - used 3 x £2.50 vouchers, used 7 x £1.00 vouchers, used 6 x 50 point vouchers and ended up spending approx £1.00 on toiletries and gained 300 points.

Also bought some papers and the Express to get the money off voucher and total spend was £44.00 reduced to only £11.24 at the checkout using my quick read vouchers and other money off coupons.

I sprinted to a chap who looked very bored, on the way to the car my mum told me I was flirting with the checkout assistant but that is part of my diversion tactics which I found quite successful. As they scan I ramble on about anything and everything and the boredom makes them scan quickly !!

Mum got a mens goodie bag for dad so was pleased and I noticed all the toiletry vouchers had gone.
