Does anyone know if the toiletry vouchers work with buying toothbrushes, will need them for all the toothpaste bought

I bought toothbrushes this morning and it worked fine for me.

The only problem I had was that the self-scanning till accepted the £2.50, and £1 voucher and then it asked for assistance for the second £1 voucher. The kid just authorised it, even though I could see on the screen something like insufficient spend for voucher, or something like that.

It did it again just now when I purchased 6 x shampoo & 6 x conditioner, on bogoff. The SA authorised it, even though she could see the message!

My grateful thanks to the OP for this. My daughter and I are now well stocked up on shampoo and conditioner.

I have used them for toothbrushes successfully!

I get in enough of a pickle using the self scanners as it it, i'd really be up the creak without a paddle if i put them through and found it wouldn't take the vouchers. The CS desk is run by hitler at my store.

Took an iron back last week, told me it was my fault because the flex was twisted.

I had an *AWFUL* experience today, and still feeling rubbish about it.

I only tried to use one £2.50 voucher, 1 £1 off healthcare and 1 50points vouchers, the SA only accepted the £2.50 and refused to scan anymore, even the 50 point one...............

I've made the decision that if this ever happens to me, I'm just going to walk away from the checkout without paying and let the SA explain to the supervisor why there is a load of shopping that needs to be put back on the shelves.

I don't mind vouchers being refused if I haven't bought the products but with the H&B promotion at the moment I believe they should accept at least one of the money off vouchers and one for the points without arguing!
  • Just got back from another successful H&B shop. Bought 2 lots of shopping both just over £10 before bogoff put them through separatly. Used on both 1 x £2.50, 2 x £1 and 4 x 50 points. So got £4.50 off and only paid 89p & 68p and got 410 points combined. Will be going again tomorrow!!

Ring CS and see if you can get a voucher 'for you total embarassment infront of other customers' because it upset you so much etc etc.
I called CS and the guy said SA was right, and can only take one coupon, but offered to add my 50 points on as a goodwill gesture.

Went to tesco today to use this offer, and the young lad would only take 1 £2.50 off and 1 £1 off.

Which i was ok with as i'd only spent £11 on bogofs.

But i handed over 5 50points one. And he said that there had been a clamp down and he could only take 1.

i tried to get him to take 2 but nothing.

    Oh well never mind.
  • Haha too true! I also look for the ones without a uniform on, sometimes means they've not long started and have yet to get their uniform.

Yeah but if they haven't got a uniform on they're more likely to beeing watched by another member of staff, who's either training them or just keeping an eye on them and watching what's going on.

Finally found some of the leaflets. Then bought 2 lots of shopping with the vouchers. Very successful trip and I'm now stocked up with various bits and peices for a while. Still have some of the vouchers left and may try again elsewhere.
