Which prospective buyers get to cherry pick the EA's properties?

We are FTB with a large deposit and are financially quite ok with money.
There is one EA who is bending over backwards to find something and then there is another who never informs us of houses up for sale. Maybe because I'm the female of the couple who always goes around the EA's they do not take me seriously.
I find the one that is not in the slightest helpful have an office full of men with barrier desks and keep their heads down when I go in
On the other hand the Nice:D one has men and women and the office is open and inviting.Life is a rollercoaster.....ya just gotta ride it:whistle:0 -

Keep in regular contact with the agents and go in an meet them
I always find in business that people I may refer others to are the people I have either met recently or bought me a drink etc - its just how the human brain works I think
Thanks, sunshinetours. i have put weekly EA office visits on my "to do".
I've had time to mull it over and whilst we'd be happy to demonstrate that we have the funds if and when required to do so - and we would never expect a seller to accept an offer from us without it - I'm NOT going to breeze in to the EA with a copy of all our savings account in advance. Just as much as we aren't going to rent for the sake of renting.

Good point, and yes, we've taken that into consideration. I'm not too worried about that since I know we wouldn't have a problem in selling ours. It's in walking distance to a good school, a lovely nursery just up the road, a short stroll from a great pub and a few minutes walk from Dartmoor National Park. Even if house prices fell by 50% we would never loose money on this house, so I don't really care.0 -

.
I think there is power in numbers. Showing the EA that both partners are committed to a purchase may well expedite the process and give one sneak previews of what isn't officially on the market.
I don't know - I still think that some silver may cross some EA's palms to get first dibs on certain properties.;)0
