!!!! me - we have the Quinns cleaner on the forum :D

    MOMENT :D

You could be on the right lines although judging by her posts bigging Quinn up I think her official title is Senior Executive (U can't polish one) 7urd Polisher.

Quinn's financial director's official title (Allegedly) is Chief Juggler

Quinns don't have their own cleaners these are outsourced and not employees of the company. :T Yet again we have people talking about Quinns who clearly do not have a good overall understanding, as I said before its all pure speculation until the court case on the 12th April. If Quinns put their case across successfully we will be back in business and if this does not happen then I am out of a job. :)

When you say people talking about Quinn who do not have an overall understanding about Quinns are you talking about their accounts staff

P.S Quinn don't have much luck in court cases so I would not hold your hopes out.

P.P.S It would probably be best not to get John Gannon to give evidence in the court case and you want to hope the case is not heard by Justice Peter Kelly

Before Quinn went into administration the overwhelming advice from posters on this forum was to avoid them due to their poor levels of cover, reliance on small print, habit of trying to underpay on claims, love of fees and large additional premiums.

The advice is still the same but to add to that they are also financially unstable.

    Avoid them!

There were warning signs back in 2008 http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/scotland/article7018140.ece?token=null&print=yes&randnum=1151003209000

I would not believe Quinns when they say how much liquidity or profit they have as their opinion on accounts could be classed as some what dubious

There could be a few brokers who placed commercial business must be worried about being sued by their clients as its not covered by the compensation scheme and they tend to write their policies on a minimum and deposit basis so any rebroked business is likely not to receive a refund.

I wish someone had advised me when I asked on here......
Still waiting for the papers for my son's policy taken out on 29th March for 1st April, can't collect the car without the papers so have paid for something am unable to use
OK I know I should have researched more but I thought I had....thought I was being wise and saving money :(

No I do not take calls from customers within my position at Quinns.

In relation to WillF, this is a private matter and I have contacted him via PM to help him with his issue.

Ok Shaz, so you don't take calls from customers. Neither do I, but I'm a compliance and contracts specialist and don't have a problem telling people that. Why won't you tell us what your role is? Is it that you are actually an admin clerk (someone who fills the photocopier up) and just don't want to admit that "monkey on the phones" is actually where you aspire to?

Moving on to the issues that WillF has, I am sure other forum members will agree that posting advice on the forum means that others with similar issues (and looking at the number of people who have posted their concerns already, there are quite a few of them) can read your advice and follow it. Then again, if you are only an admin clerk, your advice is likely to be as useful as a chocolate teapot.

I sincerely hope that you are someone of consequence, but somehow doubt that this will turn out to be the case. If you are just some numpty, then I fear for your future. Your failure to step up and give details, other than the fiction that Quinn have touted for many months, simply helps to identify the company as a firm that no one can trust or rely on to put their customers first.

Good luck to you in whatever position you are in - you're likely to be out hunting for work within weeks.

    the Eire goverment

Do you mean the Irish government?
  • Jammin - not my area of expertise and I'm happy to be corrected if wrong, but I thought Eire or Irish was acceptable when talking about the government of ROI.

I note that Shaz the Quinn Numpty has not returned.....

    Hi Oscar. :)

Eire (actually Éire), is the name of the state in the Irish language. In English, the name of the state is Ireland.

Just is it is incorrect to say Deutschland instead of Germany, or España instead of Spain, when speaking English, it is equally incorrect to say Éire.

Either the Government of Ireland or the Irish Government would be correct. Certainly not the Eire goverment (sic), as the other poster said.

Surely they should be marching in protest about all of the "unusual" loans the Insurance firm have made to other parts of the business and family members.
